Count Basie & Quincy Jones: This Could Be The Start Of Something Big (Sheet Music for Big Band)

Count Basie & Quincy Jones: This Could Be The Start Of Something Big (Sheet Music for Big Band)

Regular price £35.00 Sale

Big Band instrumental based on the real flag waving Quincy Jones/Count Basie version from the album This Time by Basie, transcribed by Jerry Sheppard. Basie took this at a cracking 250 beats per minute. However it works equally well at a steadier 184. Written out solos for piano, tenor and baritone [cued on first alto]. High/low trumpet parts mean that it can be played with a lead trumpet no higher than A.

Big band charts with individual parts written for: 8 brass (ie 4 trumpets, 4 trombones) 5 saxophones (ie 2 alto, 2 tenor, baritone) 4 rhythm (ie keyboards, guitar, bass, drums)
Key: F
Level: Moderately difficult
Written by: Steve Allen
